Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for mechanically troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various types of industrial machinery and equipment. Responsibilities

  • Mechanically troubleshoot, repair and maintain all types of industrial machinery, equipment and systems.
  • Rebuild or repair machines or assemblies to original operating conditions.
  • Work with CNC machines, punch presses, and other metal forming machines.
  • Manage project work and document product equipment or processes.
  • Communicate and review repair problems with Engineering, Tool Room, Production Team Leads or vendors.
  • Perform equipment failure analyses including preventative and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Plan and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Keep neat orderly records and order spare parts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5+ years Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to fabricate, weld, or machine parts as required.
  • Knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting including power transmission, fluid power, and pneumatics.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand written specifications, procedures and prints.
  • Ability to design and execute from verbal instructions.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and ability to work on close tolerance equipment and/or parts.
  • Ability to use various measuring devices like torque wrench, micrometers, Vernier calipers, and dial indicators.
  • Ability to use math to calculate dimensions and determine equipment setups.
  • Safety and quality conscious.
