Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, in-process, weld, or final inspection on flight-critical hardware.
• Use predetermined methods and specifications for inspections.
• Utilize various measuring devices for inspections.
• Accept, reject, or rework defective units or systems.
• Work from blueprints, diagrams, and inspection instructions.
• Execute inspections per applicable quality specifications.
• Initiate and complete inspection records in TIPQA.
• Initiate Nonconformance Reports and support MRB documentation.
• Apply visual, dimensional, and documentation-based inspection techniques.
• Support root cause and corrective action reviews.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve documentation deficiencies.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Full knowledge of inspection for identity, dimensional conformance, and visual defect detection.
• Experience with visual inspection for obvious defects or damage.
• Ability to make pass/fail acceptance decisions on inspected goods.
• Demonstrated ability to independently resolve routine inspection discrepancies.
• Experience initiating and documenting Nonconformance Reports.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent QMS.
• Ability to assist in training or checking the work of lower-level inspectors.
