Overview
Pilot Company is an industry-leading network of travel centers with over 30,000 team members and more than 750 retail and fueling locations. The General Maintenance Technician supports the Maintenance Department by providing assistance and performing preventive maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver new, used, or rebuilt parts from various vendors.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections and document findings.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance services such as oil changes and fluid checks.
- Assist Senior Mechanics with diagnostics and more complex maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation of work performed.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of common areas and work environment.
- Use appropriate tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to build mechanical skills.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must have a valid California Class C driver’s license or be able to obtain one.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle systems, tools, and mechanical processes preferred.
- Ability to maintain and repair heavy mechanical and/or automotive equipment under supervision.
- Safely operate a variety of hand tools and shop power equipment.
- Follow oral and written instructions and understand English.
