Overview

The OSI Group is a premier global food provider that partners with leading foodservice and retail brands to deliver concept-to-table solutions. They are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to proactively maintain machinery and mechanical equipment through preventive and predictive maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist to install and service different pieces of equipment using required tools.
  • Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Move and raise components using hoists, dollies, or other equipment.
  • Update daily work communications.
  • Maintain tools, powered vehicles, and equipment; keep parts and supplies in order.
  • Ensure a clean and hazard-free work area throughout the day.
  • Use and maintain safety equipment on job sites.
  • Execute job order assignments and keep accurate job order records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years' experience preferred.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Basic mechanics and electrical knowledge.
  • Computer and technology aptitude.
  • Ability to read and understand various methods of mechanical and technical drawings.
  • Basic knowledge on the correct use and care of various tools used in maintenance work.
  • Must be able to follow procedures as outlined in equipment manufacturer's maintenance manual.
  • Basic knowledge on how to gas, arc, and/or TIG weld.
  • Basic knowledge on diagnosing equipment failures and correcting them.
  • Familiarity with air compressors, various pumps, boilers, and other common mechanical equipment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
