Overview

Airgas is hiring a Production Associate (Cylinder Filler) in South Plainfield, NJ. The role involves safely handling and filling gas products into various cylinders while adhering to regulatory standards and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and fill gas products into liquid, medical, and high-pressure gas cylinders.
• Review and ensure cylinders prior to filling meet established guidelines.
• Conduct safety checks such as odor tests and checking caps and valves.
• Analyze products for purity and correct mixtures.
• Prepare high-pressure cylinders and cryogenic vessels for filling.
• Fill cylinders by pressure and weight according to regulations.
• Assist with loading and unloading cylinders on and off pallets and trailers.
• Maintain accurate records to DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards.
• Complete quality control sheets as required.
• Support accurate labeling of cylinders.

Requirements

• High school degree or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Prior experience utilizing SAP or similar ERP system preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic math operations.
• Minimum of 1 year of related technical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Shift Time: 2nd Shift (1pm-9:30pm), Monday-Friday
• Benefits start after 30 days of employment.
