Job Description

Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing maintenance on all aspects of the facility and its services, including maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding production machines and equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach and expertise in various maintenance practices to ensure safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute Predictive/Preventative/Corrective maintenance on Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Robotic MHE equipment.
  • Operate power tools, hand tools, and electrical test equipment to maintain facility equipment safely.
  • Exhibit Safety and Maintenance best practices and ensure compliance among team members.
  • Demonstrate Subject Matter Expert levels of knowledge on all MHE in the building.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with Operations.
  • Mentor other technicians with varying skillsets.
  • Problem solve breakdowns to ensure high levels of equipment availability.
  • Support continuous improvement of systems.
  • Serve as SME to the operational team on correct equipment use.
  • Oversee contractors and manage escalations when required.
  • Manage critical spare parts inventory utilizing CMMS.
  • Document work performed and any unusual conditions accurately.
  • Perform safety inspections and audits as required.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with Material Handling equipment, specifically Automation/conveyance/robotics.
  • 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines with relevant experience in robotics and automation.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC based control systems.
  • Experience using CMMS to plan proactive maintenance and create work orders.
  • Knowledge of Statutory Compliance requirements such as OSHA and NFPA70.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to oversee and influence others on the team.
  • Experience detecting malfunctions and solving issues.
  • Experience with safe operation of power tools, hand tools, and machinery.
  • Packaging operation and high-speed automation experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally without mechanical assistance.
  • Experience reviewing blueprints and CAD drawings.

Additional Information

  • Shift rotation: Week 1: Friday – Sunday 5pm – 5:30am; Week 2: Thursday – Sunday 5pm – 5:30am.
  • Must be open to overtime and schedule flexibility as needed.
