Overview

Veeco is a technology company that designs, develops, manufactures, and services advanced machines for semiconductor manufacturing. The Manufacturing Technician role involves building and integrating complex capital equipment for wafer processes, ensuring high standards of precision and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and integrate semiconductor process tools from frame to mechanical completion.
• Execute mechanical, electrical, and fluid system installations based on engineering drawings and schematics.
• Diagnose and resolve wiring, fitment, and plumbing issues in real time.
• Communicate design discrepancies or documentation gaps to engineering.
• Document all build steps and modifications accurately in production logs.
• Mentor less experienced technicians during complex build phases.
• Partner with engineering, quality, and downstream teams to meet delivery commitments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical/trade school strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in equipment assembly or manufacturing roles.
• Ability to work 1st shift (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM) with overtime as needed.
• Proficient in stainless steel tubing and Swagelok fitting installation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring schematics.
• Skilled in precision assembly, electrical terminations, and troubleshooting.
• Comfortable using common hand tools and shop equipment.
• Familiarity with software tools such as Excel and SolidWorks.
• Experienced in documenting technical work clearly.
