Overview

Michelin North America, Inc. is hiring a Forklift Tire Technician for Solideal Onsite Service, providing customized maintenance services for forklift fleets. The role involves mechanical tasks with provided training, ensuring safe operations and maximizing uptime.

Responsibilities

• Install forklift and other material handling tires using a hydraulic tire press.
• Dismount, mount tires, and service customer products as specified by orders.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure cleanliness of all equipment.
• Report any material that does not meet quality standards to the Service Manager.
• Address delays at customer sites and potential issues with customer equipment.
• Maintain safety and report accidents or concerns about safety hazards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Dedication to personal safety and the safety of others.
• Punctuality and effective time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail, initiative, and critical thinking.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Effective communication with customers on a professional level.
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite and ERP systems is a plus.

Additional Information

• Must be able to pass a urine drug screen and DOT physical as a condition of employment.
• Must be able to pass a background check consistent with state law.
• Position is for day shift with 8-hour shifts and overtime available after 40 hours.
• Work in a Tobacco-free environment and in various conditions at customer locations.
