Overview

The MIG/TIG Welder position requires proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques, strong attention to quality, and the ability to produce accurate, structurally sound welds in a manufacturing environment. The role involves performing welding on various equipment and requires a high school diploma or GED along with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Reading blueprints, drawings and taking measurements to plan and layout procedures.
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications.
  • Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
  • Align components using calipers, rulers, etc. and clamp pieces.
  • Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
  • Sets up equipment and welds parts using MIG and TIG welding processes.
  • Assembles parts by bolting and riveting.
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of MIG/TIG welding experience.
  • Experience using electrical or manual tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing.
  • 5+ years welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Training experience is a plus.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong work ethic.

Additional Information

  • Regularly performs tasks that will require heavy lifting, carrying and moving materials weighing 50 – 100 lbs. or more off the ground, up and overhead.
  • Shift: 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday - Friday.

What you'll be running
