Ingalls Shipbuilding is seeking a semi-skilled Pipe Welder to join their team, responsible for performing pipe welding procedures on Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel pipe using TIG welding. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Graduated from a pipe welder program at a vo-tech school or other training school.
  • Training in TIG root and stick fill and cap on steel piping in the 6GR position.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for TIG and Flux-Core work. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process.
