Komatsu is a leader in the construction and heavy equipment industry, seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician for their South Plainfield, New Jersey shop. The role involves maintaining and repairing various heavy equipment and offers competitive compensation and career advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and repair work on heavy equipment.
• Participate in major repairs, rebuilds, or replacements of engines and major components.
• Utilize knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Maintain clear and accurate service notes for assigned work orders.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5 plus years of experience in the heavy equipment repair industry.
• Experience with diagnostic and repair of construction, mining, and material handling equipment.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft products and industry software.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
