Overview

Mercury Systems is seeking a talented Quality Assurance Technician to support quality engineers in ensuring the accuracy of production records and documentation for aerospace and defense applications. The role involves collaboration across various departments to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) and other dimensional inspection reports accurately.
  • Review AS9102 FAIR and other dimensional inspection reports from suppliers.
  • Compile and complete End Item Data Packages (EIDP) accurately.
  • Maintain calibration system complying with AS9100 and ISO 17025 for equipment.
  • Update calibration system cycle inventory across sites.
  • Serve as the ESD coordinator for the site.
  • Perform comprehensive ESD program audits per ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards.
  • Inspect grounding systems, flooring, workstations, carts, and shelving units.
  • Verify compliance with Mercury Systems’ internal ESD policies.
  • Test equipment calibration and certification.
  • Review data, reporting, and corrective actions.
  • Navigate internal company software and database systems to gather quality data.
  • Create and submit Purchase Requisition (PR) to procurement for Purchase Order release.
  • Request quotes from external calibration houses.
  • Coordinate with operations on site calibration schedule for stationary equipment.
  • Support QA receiving inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection activities.
  • Interpret and understand drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with various departments including operations, planning, quality, and QC inspection.
  • Review and report on KPI/Metrics.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping of production documentation.
  • Collect and index supplier-provided documentation for components and services.
  • Engage in process audits, reviews, and revisions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of quality assurance experience.
  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Previous ISO 17025 experience.
  • Experience with AS9102 First article inspection.
  • Experience with AS9100 Quality Management Standard.
  • Training and/or certification in IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001.
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical inspection tools.
  • Ability to work under a microscope as needed.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to travel between West Caldwell & Saddle River, NJ sites.
  • Must currently have or be eligible to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
