Overview

SPX Technologies, through its Engineered Air Movement division Cincinnati Fan, is a leading manufacturer of industrial fans and blowers. The MIG Welder position involves working in a team to create functional metal components through MIG tack welding operations, focusing on safety, quality, and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean work area.
  • Confirm material, sizes, and parts match work orders.
  • Self-monitor quality of work and report issues.
  • Weld to specifications on mild steel and stainless steel.
  • Read blueprints and coordinate staging of parts.
  • Prepare metals and work surfaces for production.
  • Select appropriate tools and materials for welding.
  • Transfer completed products to the next workstation.
  • Perform light maintenance on equipment.
  • Assist team members and be punctual.

Requirements

  • 1 year of MIG welding experience in a production environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Overhead crane operation preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Self-driven and able to work independently.
