Overview

A well-established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production and packaging equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with strapping machines, along with solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain strapping machines and packaging equipment
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
• Troubleshoot motors, sensors, switches, controls, conveyors, and related components
• Perform equipment adjustments, repairs, installations, and upgrades
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals
• Identify root causes of recurring equipment failures
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production maintenance needs
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and preventive maintenance activities
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
• Work closely with production personnel to minimize equipment downtime

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or similar role
• Hands-on experience with strapping machines is highly preferred
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with automated packaging or production equipment
• Knowledge of motors, sensors, controls, conveyors, and related equipment
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance needs
• Welding/fabrication experience is a plus
