Overview

Primoris Distribution Services (PDS) is seeking an experienced Pipe Welder to join their Gas Operations team in Tampa, Florida. The role involves performing high-quality welding on natural gas pipeline systems while adhering to company procedures, project specifications, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding on natural gas pipelines and related components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and welding procedures.
• Prepare, fit, align, and weld pipe according to project requirements.
• Inspect welds and completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools safely.
• Follow all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements.
• Work closely with foremen, operators, and other crew members to complete projects safely and efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous pipe welding experience required.
• Experience with natural gas distribution/pipeline work preferred.
• Ability to pass required weld testing/qualification.
• Knowledge of proper welding techniques and safety procedures.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding work.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Must be able to pass applicable pre-employment requirements.
