Overview
The Foreman Pipefitter I position requires an experienced industrial pipe fitter with strong leadership and communication skills. The role involves reading blueprints, identifying tools and safety risks, and fabricating and installing piping systems in an industrial construction setting.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work.
- Identify all tools required for tasks.
- Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
- Prepare, fabricate, install, and fit pipe to specifications.
- Install valves, hangars, supports, and flanges inside piping systems according to plans.
- Perform tests to ensure the quality of the pipe and piping systems.
- Hoist loads using slings, chains, and other rigging equipment.
Requirements
- Must have 4+ years working as an Industrial Pipe Fitter.
- Ability to read prints and construction drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and manufacturers manuals.
- Demonstrate knowledge of pipe fitting processes for industrial piping and boiler components.
- Good problem-solving abilities.
- Good aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Good reading comprehension.
- Ability to work with others as a team player.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
