Fluidstack is focused on delivering large-scale compute infrastructure for AI, aiming to enhance human freedom through technology. The Supplier Quality Engineer role involves ensuring quality in steel fabrication and building systems for modular construction.

Responsibilities

• Own supplier quality for steel fabrication and building systems suppliers.
• Audit fabrication shops on weld quality, dimensional control, and coating systems.
• Run source inspections on fabricated assemblies to catch defects early.
• Standardize quality requirements for all fabricators.

Requirements

• Experience in quality assurance in steel fabrication, including welds, dimensions, and coatings.
• Ability to read weld procedure specifications and structural drawings fluently.
• Experience in rejecting fabricated work and managing schedule fallout.
• Capability to bring shops up to standard rather than just documenting deficiencies.
• Bonus: AWS CWI certification, AISC-certified shop experience, NDE methods, modular construction QA.
