Overview
WSP is seeking a Ports and Marine Senior Lead Engineer/Project Manager to work in various locations across the U.S. The role involves leading structural analysis and design for marine projects, contributing to a dynamic team known for its collaboration and diverse projects.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform and supervise structural analysis and design for marine and upland components.
- Independently perform and supervise berthing and mooring analyses.
- Lead development of plans, specifications, schedules and cost estimates for a variety of port and Navy projects.
- Understand maritime codes and references including UFC, PIANC, ASCE-61.
- Independently prepare basis of design, design calculations, technical reports, alternatives analysis, and study reports.
- Understand interdisciplinary requirements for port projects and be capable of performing QA/QC reviews.
- Attend client meetings and perform site visits.
- Mentor developing port and maritime engineers.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in analysis and design of port structures.
- Professional Engineer Licenses.
- Bachelors in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
