Overview

Jobot Consulting is seeking a Senior TIG Welder with over 5 years of experience in welding thin gauge sheet metal. The company specializes in manufacturing industrial equipment for food processing, emphasizing precision and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality TIG welding on thin gauge sheet metal components with strong control of heat input and weld consistency.
  • Execute laser welding and TIG welding operations based on engineering drawings and fabrication requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication specifications to ensure accurate build execution.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Operate supporting equipment such as plasma cutters and perform pipe threading when required.
  • Inspect welds for quality, alignment, and structural integrity, making corrections as needed.
  • Work with sanitary welding standards when applicable, ensuring clean and precise weld finishes.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized welding and fabrication work environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of TIG welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience welding thin gauge sheet metal (18 gauge or thinner) with excellent heat control.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical specifications.
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication and metal assembly processes.
  • Laser welding experience strongly preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with sanitary welding is a plus.
  • Ability to use plasma cutting equipment and basic fabrication tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on weld quality and consistency.

  • 1st Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Saturday as needed, 6:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
  • 2nd Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
