Overview

Walter P Moore is currently seeking an Engineer in their Philadelphia office to perform structural computations and assist with various design and construction tasks. The company is an international firm that provides engineering services to solve complex structural and infrastructure challenges.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural computations in the design and analysis of concrete, steel or other miscellaneous structures
• Create analysis models and interpret results for 2D and 3D structural frames
• Assist with construction administrative tasks, including site visits and shop drawing review
• Understand load paths for gravity and lateral loads and calculate applicable loads based on appropriate building codes
• Assist with design drawings, quantities, cost estimates, specifications, reports and other project deliverables while working with the structures team
• Prepare technical studies and reports

Requirements

• Master’s in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering
• 3 - 7 years of experience
• P.E. in Pennsylvania Required; candidates possessing an S.E. in another state are preferred
• Experience with Revit, Rhino or Grasshopper is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
