Overview

Ziegler offers an internship program for students in technical schools and colleges, providing hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing equipment while learning from experienced technicians. This role focuses on developing mechanical skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in troubleshooting and repairing heavy diesel engines and construction or agriculture equipment.
  • Respond to customer needs in a positive and timely manner.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a 2-year degree program in diesel engine mechanics, construction, or agricultural equipment mechanics.
  • Maintain good grades.
  • Receive positive recommendations from instructors.
  • Possess a positive attitude and desire to work as a team player.
  • Own a mechanic tool set.
  • Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirement.

Additional Information

  • Minimum physical requirements include pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs and lifting/carrying up to 60 lbs.
  • Working conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor with potentially loud noise levels.
