Job Description

Overview

MDC Precision is a world leader in delivering high-quality products to various sectors including research, semiconductor, aerospace, life sciences, and food processing. The TIG Welder will be responsible for precise TIG welding and fabrication of custom chambers and components using customer-supplied drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform precise TIG welding and fabrication of custom chambers and components.
  • Hold tolerances of +/- .010 and/or .5% angular during fabrication.
  • Collaborate closely with machinists throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Use Argon gas and TIG welding procedures to connect metal components.
  • Position and clamp metal components for welding.
  • Perform fusion welds, fillet welds, and butt welds with full penetration.
  • Identify proper order of operations and main datum points.
  • Pay close attention to details on blueprints.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of TIG (GTAW) welding experience.
  • 1 year of basic blueprint reading experience.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Experience in precision TIG welding in a machine setup.
  • Experience with protractor tools.
  • Vacuum welding experience is a huge plus.

Additional Information

  • Full-time position with 1st and 2nd shifts available.
  • Pay rate includes a 10% shift premium.
