Overview
The Master Builder position involves following quality management practices and performing various construction tasks including welding and fabrication. The role requires a high school diploma and significant experience in industrial welding and fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Follow the agreed practices as defined in the quality management system.
- Work within the scope of your responsibilities.
- Check your work to verify its accuracy in meeting the objectives.
- Know how you contribute to the achievement of the objectives.
- Layout jobs for construction by reading blueprints and assembling steel parts.
- Operate equipment necessary for manufacturing machines, including welders and various hand tools.
- Maintain a clean and neat work area.
- Assist other workers to perform their duties if needed.
- Maintain quality checks on jobs and report any unsafe or quality problems to management.
- Weld mild and stainless steel with MIG/TIG.
- Perform other functions as directed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three to five years of industrial welding, blueprint, and fabrication experience.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with other employees and departments.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
- Ability to identify work process problems and possible solutions.
Additional Information
- Required to wear and/or use safety equipment/devices based on position.
- Must be able to work overtime on an extended basis up to 50-60 hours a week.
