Overview

The Master Builder position involves following quality management practices and performing various construction tasks including welding and fabrication. The role requires a high school diploma and significant experience in industrial welding and fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the agreed practices as defined in the quality management system.
  • Work within the scope of your responsibilities.
  • Check your work to verify its accuracy in meeting the objectives.
  • Know how you contribute to the achievement of the objectives.
  • Layout jobs for construction by reading blueprints and assembling steel parts.
  • Operate equipment necessary for manufacturing machines, including welders and various hand tools.
  • Maintain a clean and neat work area.
  • Assist other workers to perform their duties if needed.
  • Maintain quality checks on jobs and report any unsafe or quality problems to management.
  • Weld mild and stainless steel with MIG/TIG.
  • Perform other functions as directed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three to five years of industrial welding, blueprint, and fabrication experience.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with other employees and departments.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
  • Ability to identify work process problems and possible solutions.

Additional Information

  • Required to wear and/or use safety equipment/devices based on position.
  • Must be able to work overtime on an extended basis up to 50-60 hours a week.
