Overview

The Welder/Saw Operator sets up and operates saws to cut materials to specified lengths or shapes, ensuring adherence to product specifications and maintaining equipment. This role involves reading blueprints, securing workpieces, and performing inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Reads blueprints and job orders for product specifications.
  • Positions and secures workpieces in saw vises.
  • Maintains direct flow of coolant against saw blade and workpiece.
  • Observes machine operation and verifies conformance of machined workpieces.
  • Sets up and operates saw.
  • Issues raw materials to jobs and maintains accurate inventory.
  • Inspects parts using precision measuring equipment and documents data.
  • Performs periodic preventative maintenance on assigned machines.
  • Loads, unloads, and moves materials within the CNC Department as needed.
  • Cleans and organizes work area.
