TrueNorth Steel is seeking an experienced Tank Welder/Fabricator 2 to join their Game Changer team in Lubbock, TX. The company values safety, integrity, and commitment, and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and demonstrate the qualities of the TrueNorth Steel Game Changer definition
• Follow all company safety and quality requirements
• Master all aspects of level 1 position
• Be qualified in welding disciplines required for the facility
• Work on semi-routine assignments with minimal supervision
• Show initiative to recognize areas of opportunity within current standard procedures
• Maintain technical qualifications required for positions
• Exhibit prompt and dependable attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of welding experience preferred
• Knowledge of material identification and equipment utilization
• Ability to fit and weld subassemblies into final position
• Accurate measurement to specified tolerances
• Advanced knowledge of weld symbols
• Basic oxy fuel and/or carbon arcing skills
• Ability to final inspect welds
• Capability to perform basic layouts
• Understand and follow oral and written directions
• Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric)
• Ability to work with others and safely
• Ability to accept responsibility and account for actions
• Dependable and trustworthy

• Shift: Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 5:00 pm (additional OT Saturday as required)
