Overview
Alliance Machine Systems International, LLC is a privately held company with over 35 years of history dedicated to providing corrugated box manufacturing machines and services. The Welder/Fabricator III position involves fabricating parts to blueprint specifications using various welding techniques and tools, requiring a high level of skill and independence.
Responsibilities
- Saws, cuts, welds, and fabricates parts to blueprint specifications.
- Buffs material to AMSI specifications utilizing portable equipment.
- Independently builds mainframe and large assemblies.
- Uses measuring instruments to level and align components.
- Completes necessary documentation for quality and production.
- Applies and understands the ECR process.
- Participates on lean project teams for continuous improvement.
- Trains lower-level associates on welding and fabrication.
- Inspects incoming materials to blueprint specifications.
- Maintains welding and fabrication equipment in safe operating order.
- Generates rough sketches for redesigned parts or assemblies.
- Demonstrates above-average knowledge of welding operations.
- Coordinates multiple assignments and applies sound judgment.
- Provides technical support in troubleshooting applications.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Military, trade school or community college coursework in hydraulic-mechanical assembly, repair, and troubleshooting desired.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Positive attitude towards all employees.
- Demonstrated proper use of safety equipment.
- Ability to operate hand, power, and measuring tools related to welding and fabrication.
- Ability to display basic rigging skills.
- Good judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- This is an onsite position located in Spokane, Washington.
- The hours for this position are Monday-Thursday 5AM-3:30PM.
