Overview
The Cactus Wellhead position in Bossier City, LA involves fabricating and repairing products using welding equipment. The role emphasizes safety and compliance with quality and environmental policies.
Responsibilities
- Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations.
- Review layouts, prints or drawings in preparation for welding or cutting metal components.
- Layout, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to welding.
- Join, fabricate and repair metal and other welding type material.
- Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED; or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Perform and pass an ASME/AWS weld test.
- Knowledge of machine operations.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong math skills and proficient reading.
- Experience in planning and scheduling.
- Effective communication skills.
Additional Information
- This position operates in an industrial/field environment.
- Requires working in and around manufacturing equipment, heavy machinery, and potentially hazardous materials.
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift).
- Climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach.
- Work in confined spaces when required.
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools.
- Perform repetitive movements.
- Exposure to extreme weather conditions, loud noise levels, dust, fumes, and chemicals.
- Work around moving mechanical parts in hot and cold temperatures.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols.
- Participate in regular safety training and complete required safety certifications.
- Comply with all environmental regulations.
- Pre-employment drug screening, background checks, medical examinations, and safety certifications may be required.
