Overview

This National Guard position is for a Welder (Title 32) within the TN Army National Guard, responsible for performing various welding duties using different processes and tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding duties using electric, acetylene, and/or inert gas shielded welding processes.
• Pre-heat, braze, head weld, tack weld, flame cut, pressure weld, and heat treat metal items.
• Use templates, jigs, blueprints, and other guides to repair, modify, or fabricate metal items.
• Repair light or intricately made mechanical parts that require close tolerances.
• Braise dissimilar metals and flame cut metal to size for fabrication.
• Read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
