Overview

The WELDER SUPERVISOR I position at PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF involves overseeing welding operations, managing staff, and ensuring effective work performance. The role is located in Garden Island, Australia.

Responsibilities

• Assign, direct, and review the work of subordinates.
• Establish performance plans and evaluate work performance.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate work operations.
• Solve problems related to the work supervised.
• Determine material, equipment, and facilities needed.
• Explain and gain support of subordinates for management policies and goals.
• Provide input on planning current and future work schedules, budgets, and staffing needs.
• Review assigned job orders, workload data, plans, specifications, sketches, and instructions.
• Plan weekly/monthly work schedules and worker assignments.
• Plan sequence of work operations for subordinates and any special work methods to be used.
• Coordinate availability of special tools, materials, and equipment.
• Assist with trade help required.
• Recommend solutions to staffing problems, engineering requirements, and other work operations.
