Overview
Valmont is a Fortune 1000 company that impacts millions globally through technology that enhances agricultural productivity and infrastructure. The Assembly Welder position involves assembling and welding pole shaft halves to create complete units, requiring precision and safety in operations.
Responsibilities
- Assembles large units that require precision.
- Fuses metal structural components together using arc welding.
- Ensures alignment and proper symmetry of structures for the SAW process.
- Safely operates overhead crane.
- Flips pieces with an overhead crane and uses hooks or plate clamps for alignment.
- Works with a limited range of standard products requiring fitting and/or welding.
- Completes work within set time limits for subsequent assembly operations.
- Maintains accountability for tools and equipment provided.
- Participates in department safety and adheres to Valmont safety policies.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of overhead crane experience.
- Must be certified AWS D1.1 in the 1G and 2G position.
- Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters.
- Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Ability to deliver on-time results without errors.
- Must maintain acceptable levels of production, quality, and attendance after 90 days.

- Location: 25010 Alliance Dr Claremore Oklahoma 74017
- Available Shifts: 1st - Monday to Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm, 4th - Friday to Sunday 5:00am - 5:00pm, 5th - Friday to Sunday 5:00pm - 5:00am.
- Pay: $26.24/hr with increases at 90-days to $27.16/hr and 6-month to $28.60/hr. Night shift has a $2/hour shift differential.
