Crown Holdings, Inc. is a world leader in metal packaging production, offering innovative and sustainable solutions. The company is looking for a dedicated Plant Maintenance / Pipefitter to join their team and contribute to their commitment to sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on various piping systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals for piping installations and repairs.
- Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes according to specifications using various materials.
- Inspect and test piping systems for leaks, pressure, and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with pumps, valves, and related mechanical equipment.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout and confined space entry.
- Collaborate with maintenance team members and production personnel to minimize downtime.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and material usage accurately.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency maintenance requests.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent vocational training in pipefitting.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a pipefitter or industrial maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques and pipe joining methods.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and P&IDs.
- General knowledge and use of measuring tools, hand tools, and powered hand tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.
- Willing to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
