Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on various piping systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals for piping installations and repairs.
• Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes according to specifications using various materials.
• Inspect and test piping systems for leaks, pressure, and functionality.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with pumps, valves, and related mechanical equipment.
• Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout and confined space entry.
• Collaborate with maintenance team members and production personnel to minimize downtime.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and material usage accurately.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency maintenance requests.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent vocational training in pipefitting.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a pipefitter or industrial maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques and pipe joining methods.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and P&IDs.
• General knowledge and use of measuring tools, hand tools, and powered hand tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of industrial safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.
• Willing to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
