Job Description:

The ability to work as part of an integrated team and be self-motivated is highly recommended. The qualified candidate will demonstrate effective customer relations, active listening skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The flexibility to work overtime is required.

Responsibilities:

• Weld metal parts: Use MIG, TIG, and Stick welding to build and repair heavy steel parts for mining machines.
• Read blueprints: Follow blueprints and drawings to make sure parts are cut and welded to the right size.
• Inspect your work: Check welds to make sure they are strong, clean, and free of defects.
• Use shop tools: Safely operate grinders, plasma cutters, and other metalworking tools.
• Stay safe: Follow all safety rules, keep your work area clean, and wear required safety gear (like welding helmets, gloves, and steel-toe boots).Education: High School

Experience: 36 months

• The ideal candidate will possess a technical diploma or certification in welding with a minimum of 3 years of related experience with industry specific equipment.Physical:

• Heavy Lifting (50+ lbs)
• Standing / Walking
• Bending / Stooping / Kneeling
• Hot Environments
• PPE Required (Noise / Chemical / Dust)Skills:

• At least 3 years of welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.
• Good physical strength - you should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Strong focus on safety and doing high-quality work.
