Siemens is a Great Place to Work® certified company that is committed to creating an innovative environment. As a Fitter/Welder I, you will support the fabrication of stainless-steel car bodies in a dynamic production setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform stainless steel welding, fitting, tacking, and assembly of passenger rail car bodies and subassemblies using detailed drawings.
  • Ensure all welds, assemblies, and finished products meet established welding standards and quality requirements.
  • Inspect and repair fabrication defects while maintaining exceptional workmanship.
  • Safely operate welding, hand, and power tools while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Complete required work order and quality documentation and track labor hours.

Requirements

  • High school education or GED.
  • 3-5 years MIG welding experience with emphasis on Stainless Steel or completion of accredited weld education program and 2 years MIG welding experience.
  • General mechanical background.
  • Basic English skills to read and understand written instructions and communicate verbally.

Additional Information

  • Located in Sacramento, CA.
  • Starting hourly rate is $23.01 with a 10% shift differential for 2nd shift and 20% for 3rd shift.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
