Overview

This position is for an Intermediate to Advanced Welder responsible for quality welding, fabrication, fitting, and finishing of components. The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all necessary welding techniques to quality standards.
  • Sets up welding equipment for various welding types.
  • Reads and understands blueprints for materials, measurements, and weld types.
  • Handles raw materials and prepares them for fabrication.
  • Uses hand tools for manufacturing customer orders.
  • Ensures work areas are clean and orderly.
  • Complies with all safety rules and regulations.
  • Reports incidents, hazards, and unsafe conditions to a Team Lead.
  • Participates in safety meetings, training, and committees.
  • Conducts required inspections.
  • Performs duties as assigned by Team Lead.

Requirements

  • High School degree or GED preferred.
  • Associates degree in Welding or Fabrication from a credited Technical College or 1-3 years of equivalent experience preferred.
  • Previous mechanical, manufacturing, or construction experience is ideal.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
