Overview

Athens Services is seeking a skilled Bin (Mig) Welder to join their team, focusing on welding repairs and fabrications for solid waste container bodies. This role is essential for maintaining the quality of containers and equipment, offering a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and automated welding equipment to repair welds, holes, and metal parts on containers and equipment.
• Position parts using clamps and tack welds.
• Fabricate parts and/or components as needed.
• Perform safety inspections and checks on containers and equipment.
• Examine welds for depth and penetration.
• Complete required paperwork associated with repairs, including documentation of parts usage and repair times.
• Attend and successfully accomplish all safety and compliance training.

Requirements

• Bilingual English / Spanish preferred.
• Forklift Operator Certification preferred.
• Welder Certification preferred.

Additional Information

• Schedule: Monday - Friday from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm with rotating Saturdays.
