Overview

At United Airlines, the Technical Operations team is seeking an experienced Machinist Technician to support aircraft maintenance by providing service to internal customers and ensuring the fleet is well-maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide service to internal customers in the Newark Technical Operation department.
• Perform repairs and manufacture parts daily.
• Operate and function competently as a machinist on at least two machine tool types.
• Train on all machine tools and machining processes in the landing gear focus repair cell.
• Work around-the-clock shifts, including weekends and holidays, outdoors in all weather conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or education equivalent.
• 2 years' experience in general machinist work and successful completion of a trade test.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid US driver's license.
• Must pass a 10-year background check.
• Willingness to take a pre-placement physical, skills assessment test, hearing and vision tests, and drug screen.
• Clear a fingerprint-based criminal history check.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Reliable, punctual attendance.
