Overview

UCT is a diverse workplace committed to continuous innovation in the semiconductor industry. They are seeking a talented Welder IV to join their team in Chandler, AZ, playing a critical role in executing precision welding tasks and ensuring operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job.
  • Plans details of working procedure, tools, and material requirements.
  • Performs minor maintenance on equipment.
  • Assumes responsibility and care of assigned tools and equipment.
  • Observes and practices safety procedures and policies.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Attendance is an essential job function.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Two-year vocational welding program or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in welding.
  • Manual and machine TIG/MIG skills.
  • Understanding of the use of measuring devices, such as micrometers, calipers, tapes, etc.
  • Qualified to read blueprints.
  • Experience fabricating equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals.
  • Ability to clean and prepare surfaces to be welded.
  • Strong understanding of TIG/MIG welding procedures & processes.
  • Experience working with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
  • Ability to perform welds that pass a visual inspection and destructive test.
  • Ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, squares, rules, and dial calipers).
  • Basic math skills; must be able to perform conversions and basic calculations.
  • Knowledge of welding machines and setup.
  • Ability to operate hand/air tools and electric grinders.

Additional Information

  • Two shifts available: 1st shift from 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday; 2nd shift from 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM, Monday - Thursday (4 x 10's).
  • Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing environment.
  • Work may require out-of-town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting).
  • This is considered a Safety Sensitive position.

What you'll be running
