Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman with hands-on expertise spanning earthwork, concrete, and structural/pipe welding. In this role, you will lead field crews, coordinate daily jobsite operations, enforce safety standards, and ensure high-quality execution from site clearing through structural metal integration.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily trade operations, allocate manpower, sequence equipment, and ensure work aligns with project schedules, blueprints, and engineering specs.
  • Oversee excavation, trenching, backfilling, site clearing, soil compaction, and subgrade preparation; ensure compliance with OSHA sloping/shoring guidelines.
  • Lead formwork assembly, rebar placement, concrete pours, curing, and finishing for foundations, footings, dynamic equipment pads, and flatwork.
  • Supervise and perform structural steel layout, tacking, dynamic load welding (SMAW/GMAW/FCAW), and pipe/plate fabrication according to AWS/CWB structural codes.
  • Conduct pre-task planning (JSA/JHA), enforce PPE policies, inspect weld quality and concrete slump/testing, and maintain zero-incident safety protocols.
  • Track daily hours, equipment usage, material deliveries, and work progress; train and mentor skilled laborers and apprentices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of heavy civil or commercial construction experience, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or crew lead role.
  • Proficient in operating earthmoving equipment (excavators, dozers, skid steers, compactors).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of concrete mix designs, rebar schedules, formwork systems, and finishing techniques.
  • AWS/CWB welding certification preferred (e.g., SMAW 3G/4G, FCAW); strong ability to read structural steel drawings and weld symbols.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction, First Aid/CPR, and valid Driver’s License required.
  • Direct communication, strong problem-solving under tight deadlines, and proven team management abilities.
