Overview

United Rentals is the world’s largest equipment rental provider, seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair Mobile Storage rental fleet equipment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Mobile Storage quality standards.
  • Remove, repair, and install various components including floors, roofs, walls, and doors.
  • Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and welding repairs with minimal direction.
  • Hook mobile office to power source.
  • Check tire pressure and lugs.
  • Complete assignments on time and within budget as documented on Work Orders.
  • Travel to customer sites to set office trailers and assist CDL A Drivers.
  • Complete equipment modifications according to specifications and building codes.
  • Follow 5S guidelines for organization and cleanliness.
  • Conduct inbound and outbound equipment inspections.
  • Operate Fork Lifts safely.
  • Exhibit fleet to customers when needed.
  • Safely install and uninstall Value Added Products according to requirements.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Active applicable state class driver’s license.
  • 3-5 years of experience with basic electrical, plumbing, and/or welding repairs.
  • Basic verbal and written skills.
  • Construction knowledge and background.
  • Teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated time management skills.
  • Ability to utilize required information technology.
  • Working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and manufacturers’ warranty process.
  • Ability to coach and mentor less experienced operations staff.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
