Overview

The Dixon Group is seeking a Senior Welder to join their expanding production team at the Creekside facility in Chestertown, MD. This role involves manufacturing Swivel Joints and Loading Arms, requiring extensive experience in open groove pipe welding to ASME Section IX standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding on industrial fluid transfer products.
  • Execute precision pipe welds ranging from 1” to 24” in diameter.
  • Work with a wide variety of metals, from aluminum to stainless steel.
  • Fabricate structural components accurately to meet detailed production prints and CAD drawings.
  • Prepare materials for welding through sandblasting, grinding, and manual machining.
  • Utilize expertise to train, coach, and support less experienced welders on the production floor.

Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of professional production welding experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in both TIG and MIG welding is mandatory.
  • Must be highly competent in performing Open Groove Pipe Welds to ASME Section IX Standards.
  • Previous experience as a welder, fabricator, or pipe fitter in related industries is highly preferred.
  • Active welding certifications, particularly those revolving around pipe welding, are a strong plus.
  • Experience with structural welding and reading production prints/CAD is highly beneficial.
  • Detail-oriented, enthusiastic self-starter dedicated to safety, quality, and teamwork.

What you'll be running
