Overview

TEAM is seeking an entry-level NDT Assistant to support certified technicians in delivering nondestructive testing services at various client sites. This role is a critical first step in developing a rewarding career in asset integrity and inspection, ensuring safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified NDT technicians in setting up and performing inspections (UT, MT, PT, RT, etc.) according to TEAM and client procedures.
• Prepare and organize materials, tools, and equipment for testing assignments.
• Support radiation safety practices and help secure work areas for radiographic testing where applicable.
• Transport equipment to and from job sites, maintaining safe handling and inventory control.
• Ensure all tools and work areas are cleaned and maintained.
• Complete field reports, timesheets, and other documentation as directed.
• Follow all safety rules, client site protocols, and TEAM's Life Critical Expectations.
• Perform general labor duties related to rigging, lifting, and access equipment setup.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening background check.
• Must be able to obtain TWIC, DISA, and/or other site access credentials.
• Willingness to travel and work in various environments typically found in Oil and Gas, Nuclear, Power, Municipality, Aerospace, and other settings.
• Willingness and ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules as required.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions.
• Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.
• Previous experience in NDT, construction, or industrial environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with basic NDT methods and terminology is preferred.
• Current TWIC, OSHA 10/30, or other industry-standard safety certifications are preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools/equipment are preferred.

Additional Information

• Position is based out of a TEAM field office or client site location.
• Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
• Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.
• Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
• Able to wear safety equipment for any task as required by the safety department for personal protection.
• May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
• May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
