Overview

The Marvin Group, a leading defense contractor based in Southern California, is seeking a Mechanical Technician III to join their Product Development team. This role involves the installation, repair, diagnostics, and testing of military automotive Environmental Control Systems and Auxiliary Power Units.

Responsibilities

  • Install and test automotive air conditioning systems
  • Mechanical assembly, integration and testing of Auxiliary Power Units
  • Trouble-shoot air conditioning systems & diesel engines and generators for malfunctions and diagnose problems
  • Perform verification and acceptance testing on development and production assemblies

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in machine shops or assembly shops, preferably with a Defense contractor
  • H.S. Diploma or GED is required
  • Working knowledge of engines, generators and related components
  • Must be able to read and understand drawings and specifications
  • Self-motivated and can work with little supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic a plus
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and team player
  • Must be able to speak/read/write English
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
