Overview
We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to support our manufacturing operations and ensure products consistently meet established quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
- Inspect materials, components, and finished products to verify compliance with specifications.
- Perform dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, verniers, and other calibrated measurement tools.
- Identify, document, and remove products that do not meet established specifications.
- Make acceptance or rejection decisions based on inspection results.
- Analyze inspection data and prepare reports summarizing findings and deviations from standards.
- Recommend modifications to existing quality standards, methods, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
- Scan and upload quality-related documents as required.
- Perform additional quality control duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of relevant quality control or manufacturing experience.
- Working knowledge of calibrated inspection tools and testing equipment.
- Ability to read measurements using 1/8", 1/16", 1/32", and 1/64" scales.
- Proficiency with both standard and metric measurement systems.
- Hands-on experience using micrometers, verniers, and calipers.
- Strong computer and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Information
- Occasional Domestic/International Travel Preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and use hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment.
- Ability to ascend and descend stairs and/or ladders.
- Comfortable working in moderate manufacturing noise; occasional exposure to noise levels up to 100 dB with company-provided hearing protection.
- Ability to perform close-vision tasks and adjust focus when inspecting components.
- May occasionally be exposed to dust, irritants, heat, and electrical/mechanical equipment hazards.
- Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and other personnel.
