Overview
We’re looking for an Aluminum Welder with aluminum welding experience who is eager to grow their skills while supporting essential energy infrastructure projects across the U.S. This field-based role offers hands-on work at diverse sites, including power plants, hydroelectric dams, and large industrial facilities.
Responsibilities
- Follow directions to support field teams and contribute to project success
- Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Read and follow construction, welding, and electrical drawings; take accurate measurements
- Set up components and weld aluminum in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions per spec
- Rig, lift, align, and fit equipment based on drawings and instructions
- Organize and inspect parts for installation to ensure accuracy and readiness
- Assist in inspecting aging equipment for damage or wear
- Support electrical testing using Hi-Pot, DLRO, and Megger (under supervision)
- Submit accurate job reports and daily timesheets
- Safely operate company vehicles in line with policy
- Follow strict safety and PPE usage protocols due to electrical hazards, noise, and elevated work
Requirements
- 3+ years of aluminum welding experience (MIG)
- Welding trade school or equivalent training preferred
- 3+ years using various welding equipment and techniques
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and working at heights
- Ability to read and interpret construction, welding, and technical drawings
- Experience with forklifts, manlifts, or similar equipment on job sites
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license
- Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Available for extended and irregular hours as needed
- Able to work outdoors in all weather, at heights (100+ ft), in confined spaces, and around high-voltage equipment and heavy machinery
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and performing extended physical tasks
- Requires good vision, hearing, and English proficiency for safe and effective communication
