Overview

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Welder for the 2nd Shift, responsible for operating various welding equipment for repair and production work. The position offers competitive pay and a range of benefits from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Operate various types of welding equipment for general repair and production work.
  • Fabricate rework on tanks and parts using engineering information.
  • Correct fabrication errors from the Weidematic tapes or machine errors.
  • Rework field return tanks and parts as necessary.
  • Use all weld fabrication equipment including oxy-acetylene torch and MIG-welders.
  • Operate material handling equipment including bridge crane and lift trucks.
  • Repair leaks on oil filled units.
  • Weld radiators and brackets to transformers.
  • Perform internal tank repair work with supervisor approval.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a one-year Technical Diploma in MIG and ARC welding or one year of MIG and ARC welding experience.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Must live within 50 miles of the Waukesha, WI facility.
  • Ability to interpret prints and quality specifications.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 LBS and perform physical tasks.
