Shield AI is a venture-backed defense-tech company focused on protecting service members and civilians with intelligent systems. The Staff Technician, Production Test role involves advanced production acceptance testing and support for aircraft systems during manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, troubleshooting, removal, installation, modification, and maintenance of aerospace systems.
• Operate ground support equipment and perform vehicle systems checkouts.
• Perform pre- and post-use inspections and service required fluids.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Fabricate and assemble fixtures and components as required.
• Execute testing in accordance with engineering procedures and provide technical support.
• Conduct testing using prescribed methods and accurately document test results.
• Adhere to all safety requirements and company policies.
• Work effectively in production, maintenance, repair, and flight test environments.
• Perform work in confined spaces and physically demanding positions.
• Communicate effectively in high-noise environments.
• Work a flexible schedule that may include extended shifts and travel.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 10 years of aerospace, aircraft maintenance, flight test, or related experience.
• Experience in aircraft electrical systems, aircraft systems, or flight line operations.
• Experience with avionics or electronic systems.
• Experience building and repairing wire harnesses.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
