Overview

The Union Laborer position involves various responsibilities related to the receiving and distribution of materials and equipment at job sites, ensuring safety compliance, and participating in company training programs. The role requires physical strength and the ability to operate construction equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the receiving and distribution of materials and equipment on the jobsite.
  • Erect and dismantle scaffold.
  • Deliver materials as scheduled.
  • Clean up, protect, move material, tools & equipment.
  • Conform to all safety rules and regulations of the Company and OSHA standards.
  • Obtain a CDL license for delivery of materials.
  • Operate construction equipment such as forklifts on jobsites.
  • Calculate unit costs based on quantity of materials installed, hours worked, and labor dollars.
  • Arrive at work on time at various locations.
  • Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
  • Conform to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to learn company safety policies and applicable OSHA standards.
  • Ability to distinguish various tools and materials.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to accurately measure material.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work on ladders, scaffolds, and stilts.
  • Knowledge and ability to erect and dismantle scaffolds.
