As a Senior Structural Engineer within our Advanced Manufacturing team, you will work on various Data Center projects, contributing to the design and delivery of capital projects while collaborating with a diverse team of engineers and designers.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of structural engineering analyses.
- Create computer models for structures.
- Perform calculations for member designs and foundations.
- Prepare material take-offs for estimating.
- Assist with schedules and miscellaneous calculations.
- Liaise with internal professionals and design departments for project delivery.
- Coordinate designs with other Jacobs offices both domestically and internationally.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 8 or more years of professional experience in structural engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states.
- Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCad, Revit, MicroStation, and S3D.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
- Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other industry relevant design codes and standards.
- Knowledge and application of Building Codes.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite software including MS Teams.
- Ability to travel to various client sites (approx. 10% to 20% travel).
