As a Structural Engineering Professional, you will play a key role in the design team, assisting with structural analysis and design while contributing to innovative solutions that positively impact communities.
Responsibilities
- Perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering and analysis under general supervision.
- Develop judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Enhance engineering judgment and problem-solving skills, seeking guidance when needed.
- Apply principles and practices of seismic design and building code provisions.
- Exhibit attention to detail and quality control in all work.
- Check calculations of other engineers' work.
- Manage workload effectively and take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Define scope and forecast effort needed to complete tasks.
- Identify scope changes and escalate to the Structural Lead or Project Manager.
- Work in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in structural engineering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
