Responsibilities
- Perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering and analysis under general supervision.
- Develop judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria with guidance.
- Develop engineering judgment and problem-solving skills, seeking guidance when necessary.
- Gain knowledge of seismic design principles and apply building code provisions.
- Exhibit attention to detail and quality control in all work.
- Check own work and seek peer and senior guidance when needed.
- Manage workload effectively and take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Define personal scope and forecast effort needed to complete tasks.
- Identify scope changes and escalate to the Structural Lead or Project Manager.
- Work in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in structural engineering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.

Additional Information
- This position is considered hybrid/remote and may require working in the nearest local office or from home in the USA Southeast Region.
- Field walks may be required, including climbing ladders or standing for extended periods.
